Basketball Recap: Hart County Comes Up Short

After flying high against Pendleton on Friday, Hart County came back down to earth. The Hart County Bulldogs took a 53-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Elbert County Blue Devils on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 121st, while the Blue Devils are ranked 15th).

Hart County's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Elbert County, the win keeps them at an undefeated 14-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hart County will take on Madison County at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Elbert County, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Oglethorpe County at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
