It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Falcons face off against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Phoenix Country Day will be up against a hot Fountain Hills team: the squad just extended their winning streak to 13. Fountain Hills took their match on Thursday with ease, bagging a 53-18 victory over Rancho Solano Prep. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 48th, while the Mustangs are ranked 126th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Arizona Lutheran Academy typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Phoenix Country Day proved too difficult a challenge. They claimed a resounding 52-25 win over the Coyotes. The victory was familiar territory for the Eagles who have now won five games in a row.

Fountain Hills pushed their record up to 22-5 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 15.3 points over those games. As for Phoenix Country Day, their victory bumped their record up to 22-5.

Fountain Hills was dealt a bruising 73-38 defeat at the hands of Phoenix Country Day when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can Fountain Hills avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
