Softball Recap: Hertford County Comes Up Short

Hertford County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They lost 18-0 to the Camden County Bruins. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bruins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-0 on Thursday.

Hertford County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Camden County, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hertford County will take on Manteo at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bears' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Redskins have averaged an impressive 9.3 runs per game this season. As for Camden County, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Holmes at 5:00 p.m. The Bruins' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Aces have averaged an impressive 8.9 runs per game this season.
