Soccer Game Preview: Calvary Christian Academy vs. Eastland Christian

The Calvary Christian Academy Lions will face off against the Eastland Christian Hurricanes at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Lions on Tuesday. Neither Calvary Christian Academy nor Life Christian Academy could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 3-3 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked Calvary Christian Academy's first draw of the season.

Mason Close and Nick Joseph scored all three of Calvary Christian Academy's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Meanwhile, Eastland Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Riverbend Academy. The contest was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Hurricanes couldn't quite close it out.

Calvary Christian Academy's draw gives them a new season record of 0-2-1. As for Eastland Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Calvary Christian Academy beat Eastland Christian by a goal in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 3-2. Does Calvary Christian Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Eastland Christian turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
