Basketball Recap: Appalachian Christian School Starts off Right with Win over Fishburne Military + How To Watch

Appalachian Christian School had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Fishburne Military Caissons 71-32. The Trailblazers pushed the score to 62-20 by the end of the third, a deficit the Caissons cut but never quite recovered from.

Appalachian Christian School's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Blake Waldron, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 13 points in addition to seven rebounds and six steals. Those six steals gave Waldron a new career-high. Isaac Morris was another key player, putting up 12 points along with six assists and five steals.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Appalachian Christian School will head out to take on Virginia School for the Deaf & Blind at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fishburne Military, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Waynesboro at 7:00 p.m. on December 1.
