Mt. Carmel strolled into their game  on Tuesday with a perfect  record and they left with the same. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  9-7  win over the Princeton Tigers. For the Golden Aces, this counts as revenge for the   4-3 victory the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in April of 2024.
Mt. Carmel got a  massive  performance out of  Leah Lewis, who  went 3-for-4 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs. The team also got some help courtesy of  Bella Andrews, who  went 2-for-4 with one  home run, two  RBI,  and one  double.
 Mt. Carmel was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .419. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Princeton only posted a  batting average of  .276.
Mt. Carmel's record is now 3-0. As for Princeton, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
 Coming up, Mt. Carmel will face off against Robinson at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. We've got a battle between Tigers coming up. Princeton's pitchers better be ready for this one: Evansville Memorial has averaged an impressive 6.2  runs per game this season.
