After a string of six wins, Pine Prairie's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They came up short against the Pineville Rebels, falling 11-1. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Panthers, who until this contest were averaging 3.33 runs allowed.

Pine Prairie saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lainey Campbell, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

Pine Prairie's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Pineville, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pine Prairie will welcome Rosepine at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pineville, they will be playing at home against Buckeye at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Pineville will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
