Soccer Game Preview: Shadow Creek vs. Pearland

The Shadow Creek Sharks will head out on the road to square off against the Pearland Oilers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Shadow Creek's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Last Wednesday, Shadow Creek didn't have quite enough to beat Pasadena Memorial and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Pearland's offense. They fell just short of Pasadena Memorial by a score of 1-0 on Saturday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Oilers came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while the Mavericks are ranked 389th).

Pearland's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1-1 and their overall record down to 9-3-1. As for Shadow Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3-4.
