Basketball Recap: Christ Chapel Academy Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Christ Chapel Academy waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They managed a 49-45 win over the Trinity Christian Gryphons. This was payback for Christ Chapel Academy, who suffered a 50-41 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Christ Chapel Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from David Neaves, who went 9 of 17 on his way to 21 points and seven boards. Neaves' evening made it 14 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Matthew Moore was another key player, as he made all 5 shots he took to post 10 points and eight rebounds.

Christ Chapel Academy pushed their record up to 7-7 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Trinity Christian, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season.

Christ Chapel Academy and Trinity Christian could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings. Christ Chapel Academy will challenge Fairfax Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday down 248 places (291 vs. 43). Similarly, Trinity Christian (ranked 236th) will meet Seton (ranked 77th) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
