Recap: Warrensburg Burgers vs. Whitehall Railroaders
The Warrensburg Burgers lost to the Whitehall Railroaders back in February of 2023, but the Warrensburg Burgers didn't allow the Whitehall Railroaders the same satisfaction on Friday. Warrensburg strolled past Whitehall with points to spare, taking the game 62-46. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Warrensburg.
Warrensburg's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Steve Schloss, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Schloss has scored at least a third of Warrensburg's points. Brady Cheney was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds.
Warrensburg is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Whitehall, their loss dropped their record down to 11-5.
Warrensburg will head out on the road to square off against Granville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Granville will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Whitehall, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Poultney at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Poultney knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five games -- so hopefully Whitehall likes a good challenge.
