Volleyball Recap: Dunwoody Has No Trouble Against Tucker

It was a proper cat-fight when Dunwoody duked it out with Tucker on Tuesday. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 3-0 win. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Wildcats this season.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Dunwoody was: they took every set by at least 16 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-9, 25-7.

Dunwoody's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Naomi Sneh, who had three digs and two aces. What's more, Sneh racked up 14 assists, the most she's had since back in August. Another player making a difference was Simone Stroe, who had seven digs and one assist.

They weren't the only good servers: Dunwoody was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. They are 7-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

Dunwoody has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-13 record this season. As for Tucker, they dropped their record down to 5-17 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Dunwoody will venture away from home to face off against Milton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tucker has already played their next contest (against Cross Keys), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
