Softball Recap: Holy Redeemer Gets the Win

After losing to Wyoming Area the last time they met, Holy Redeemer decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Royals walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Warriors on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Royals.

Anne Carter was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Abby Williams was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Zoe Pecuch, who went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Holy Redeemer was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wyoming Area only posted a batting average of .125.

Holy Redeemer's record now sits at 13-6. As for Wyoming Area, their loss dropped their record down to 10-9.

As of now, neither Holy Redeemer nor the Warriors have any future games scheduled.
