Basketball Game Preview: Garrison Bulldogs vs. Joaquin Rams

The Garrison Bulldogs will venture away from home to square off against the Joaquin Rams at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Garrison was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 50-46 to Tenaha. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1098th, while the Tigers are ranked 354th).

Meanwhile, Joaquin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by Beckville 65-32.

Garrison has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Joaquin, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Garrison came out on top in a nail-biter against Joaquin in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, sneaking past 55-52. The rematch might be a little tougher for Garrison since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
