Soccer Recap: Westfall Takes a Loss

Westfall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Piketon Redstreaks. Westfall were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Piketon earlier this season, when they won 11-4.

Claire Abrigg and Haylee Kaethow scored both of Westfall's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 18 goals.

Westfall's loss dropped their record down to 13-3. As for Piketon, their victory bumped their record up to 6-10.

Westfall will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington at 6:00 p.m. on the 13th. As for Piketon, they have already played their next matchup, a 7-2 win against Northwest on the 6th.
