Volleyball Recap: Wheeler Takes a Loss

Wheeler lost against Booneville last Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Eagles took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blue Devils.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-16.

Despite the loss, Wheeler saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Marlee Hutcheson had nine assists and seven digs.

Wheeler's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Booneville, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-5.

Coincidentally, Wheeler and Booneville will both be playing Baldwyn the next time they take the court. The Blue Devils will head out to face the Bearcats at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Eagles will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
