Brookings faced Madison in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Bobcats were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over the Bulldogs. The result was nothing new for the Bobcats, who have now won six contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Brookings has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Madison, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-6.

Coming up, Brookings will take on Sturgis Brown at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bobcats are facing the Scoopers at the right time seeing as the Scoopers are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Madison, they will challenge Vermillion at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
