Volleyball Recap: Middletown Takes a Loss

Middletown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Lakota West Firebirds. The Middies were not able to make up for their loss to the Firebirds from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Leading Lakota West to victory were Allie Steckman and Zoee Briggs. Steckman had 24 assists and two aces, while Briggs had three digs and three aces. Steckman is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last 18 games she's played.

Middletown's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Lakota West, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

Middletown will face off against Harrison at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lakota West, they will square off against Fairmont at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
