Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Josi Woody and Sadie Corbin Lead Ridgeview Christian to Victory

There's no place like home for Ridgeview Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They blew past the Cornerstone Christian Cougars 3-0 on Monday. The Crusaders haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Ridgeview Christian not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Cornerstone Christian between 16 and 19 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-16, 25-17.

Ridgeview Christian was led to victory by Sadie Corbin and Josi Woody. Corbin had 17 digs and one assist, while Woody had 14 assists and four digs. Those 14 assists gave Woody a new career-high.

Ridgeview Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in seven consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Ridgeview Christian's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Cornerstone Christian, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ridgeview Christian will venture away from home to take on Mt. Carmel Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cornerstone Christian, they will head out to square off against Fresta Valley Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
