Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Edward Bunn and Brody John Lead El Paso to Victory

El Paso won the last time they faced Burges and things went their way on Tuesday too. The El Paso Tigers came out on top against the Burges Mustangs by a score of 69-56. The victory was familiar territory for the Tigers who have now won three matches in a row.

Leading El Paso to victory were Brody John and Edward Bunn. John went 8 for 13 en route to 20 points, while Bunn went 5 of 11 on his way to 13 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Those 13 points gave Bunn a new career-high. Santiago Serrano was another key player, putting up seven points.

El Paso smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in four consecutive contests.

El Paso's win bumped their record up to 14-11. As for Burges, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-14.

El Paso will welcome Canutillo at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. El Paso is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.5 points per game this season. As for Burges, they will head out to challenge Chapin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Chapin's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games.
