After losing to Vandegrift the last time they met, Grapevine decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Mustangs escaped with a win on Thursday against the Vipers by the margin of a single free throw, 33-32.

Grapevine has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-4 record this season. As for Vandegrift, they moved to 6-3 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Grapevine didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 44-39 win against Katy on the 20th. As for Vandegrift, they have also already played their next contest, a 55-41 victory against Hill Country Christian School of Austin on the 20th.
