Football Recap: Deep Run Takes a Loss

There was early excitement for Deep Run after they claimed the first score on Friday, but it was Meadowbrook who ended up claiming the real prize. The Wildcats fell 23-14 to the Monarchs. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Monarchs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Deep Run and nudges their season record down to 2-2. As for Meadowbrook, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Deep Run has already played their next game (against Hermitage), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Meadowbrook, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 48-13 win against Hopewell on the 25th.
