Baseball Recap: Tavares Comes Up Short

Tavares was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 12-3 to Umatilla. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Umatilla this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-1 back in March.

Tavares saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kishun Ramjeet, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Tavares' defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Umatilla, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-7 record this season.

Tavares will take on Leesburg at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Umatilla, they will face off against Foundation Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season.
