Eureka entered their tilt with Tremont on Tuesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They didn't even let the Turks on the board, marking their second-straight 2-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for the Hornets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Eureka was generally in control, but really had to dig deep in the second set to get the win. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-22.

Eureka's win bumped their record up to 25-5. As for Tremont, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-15 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Eureka is set to square off against their familiar foe Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Tremont will take on rival Ridgeview at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
