Basketball Recap: Delcastle Technical Gets the Win

Delcastle Technical proved they can win big on Monday (they won by 25) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Freire Charter School Wilmington Dragons 49-46. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cougars have posted since December 3, 2025.

Delcastle Technical has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points over those games. As for Freire Charter School Wilmington, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Delcastle Technical will host Odessa at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Freire Charter School Wilmington, they will welcome DuPont at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
