Baseball Recap: Hebbronville Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Hebbronville can now relate to. They fell just short of the Jourdanton Indians/Squaws by a score of 5-4 on Thursday. The Longhorns were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians/Squaws apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2017.

Ruben Rodriguez was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Hebbronville's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 22-11-1. As for Jourdanton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 19 of their last 20 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-4-1 record this season.

While Hebbronville had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
