Stern came tearing into Thursday's match with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Los Angeles Leadership Academy Lions by a score of 42-32. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 44-36 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Los Angeles Leadership Academy still got an impressive performance from Adam Hernandez, who posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was Aillen Liao, who scored eight points.

Stern's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points per game. As for Los Angeles Leadership Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.
