With a big week,
Little Falls jumped into the top 25 in the state rankings. Little Falls moved up from No. 39 in the state all the way to No. 23 thanks to a 2-0 record over the past week. Led by manager John Hanowski, the Flyers are ranked No. 1,331 in the nation with an overall record of 7-3.
Top honors in Granite Ridge this week go to
Mora, which finished with four wins overall, good for best in Granite Ridge. The Mustangs beat
Zimmerman 10-1, the Thunder 10-2 and
Cloquet 8-0.
Albany continues to give up the least hits to opposing lineups this season, after surrendering only nine in the past week. For the entire year, the Huskies have given up only 73 base hits in 15 games.
There were four hitters that batted over .400 in the league this week. Leading the pack was Josh Olmscheid, who hit .800 by going 4-for-5.
Princeton's
Zack Ludwig led the league with six hits this week. On the season, he's hitting .325 and ranks fifth in the league with 13 hits.
Michael Schlangen was an RBI machine on Friday, as he knocked in four runs during Albany's 12-3 win over
Melrose. He went 3-for-4 and scored one run.
