Baseball Recap: Daniel Boone's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

Daniel Boone fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against William Blount on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the William Blount Governors by a score of 14-13. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Trailblazers, who until this game were averaging 3.67 runs allowed.

Ben Stevens put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Stevens was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in five of his six plate appearances.

In other batting news, Will Stewart stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he scored two runs while going 3-for-5. T J Leonard was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-5.
