Basketball Game Preview: Parkview Panthers vs. South Gwinnett Comets + Official Tickets

The Parkview Panthers are taking a road trip to face off against the South Gwinnett Comets at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Parkview's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

On Tuesday, Parkview was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 74-70 to Discovery. The loss was the Panthers' first of the season.

Meanwhile, South Gwinnett fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Morrow last Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 57-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs.

Parkview will have to keep a close watch on Jacody Terry and Jacob Reid, a pair of players who had a big impact on South Gwinnett's prior game. Terry almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds, while Reid posted seven points along with 11 boards and four blocks.

Having lost for the first time this season, Parkview fell to 3-1. As for South Gwinnett, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Parkview might still be hurting after the 69-47 defeat they got from South Gwinnett in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
