Baseball Recap: West Lutheran Comes Up Short

West Lutheran was the 16-6 winner over Liberty Classical Academy when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors lost 9-2 to Liberty Classical Academy on Wednesday. Warriors fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against Liberty Classical Academy since on Wednesday.

West Lutheran saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Spencer Bostic, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI. Connor Rouen also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

West Lutheran dropped their record down to 2-8 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Liberty Classical Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6.

Coming up, West Lutheran is taking a road trip to square off against Legacy Christian Academy at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Liberty Classical Academy, they will take on Mounds Park Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
