Baseball Game Preview: Loveland Red Wolves vs. Ponderosa Mustangs

The Loveland Red Wolves will take on the Ponderosa Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Loveland has given up an average of 6.7 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Loveland is headed into Monday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Wednesday. They lost 16-1 to Fossil Ridge.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Ponderosa, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They blew past Denver East 10-4 on Tuesday. The contest marked the Mustangs' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Nick Moe looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.

Ponderosa's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Loveland, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.
