Baseball Game Preview: Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot Knights vs. Randolph-Henry Statesmen

The Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Randolph-Henry Statesmen at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Randolph-Henry took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot, who comes in off a win.

Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot will bounce into Wednesday's matchup after beating Fuqua, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot put the hurt on Fuqua with a sharp 12-2 win on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Knights as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Brian Bodman was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Matthew Fountain was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double.

Meanwhile, Randolph-Henry unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 14-2 to Halifax County on Monday.

Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Randolph-Henry, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
