Softball Recap: Cane Bay Finds Home Field Redemption Against Lucy Beckham

There's no place like home for Cane Bay, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Lucy Beckham Bengals on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cobras have posted since March 24th.

Isabella Kelly spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Charlet Reed, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Manuel, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

The victory got Cane Bay back to even at 11-11. As for Lucy Beckham, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-10.

As of now, neither Cane Bay nor the Bengals have any future games scheduled.
