Basketball Recap: Mekeel Christian Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

It was a proper cat-fight when Mekeel Christian Academy took on Mayfield on Wednesday. The Lions were outmatched by the Panthers and fell 73-36. The Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-13.

Mayfield's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Abigail Powers, who dropped a double-double with 24 points and 11 rebounds. Those 24 points gave Powers a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brianna Iannuzzi, who posted 27 points along with seven boards and three steals.
