Softball Recap: Everman Comes Up Short

Everman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 15-0 to the Cleburne Yellowjackets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 16-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2019.

Everman's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13-1. As for Cleburne, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 5-12-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Everman will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Joshua at 5:30 p.m. on March 25th. Cleburne will also get a bit of a break before their next match: they'll face off against Mansfield Summit at 5:30 p.m. on March 25th.
