Basketball Game Preview: Sedgwick Cardinals vs. Inman Inman Teutons

Sedgwick and Inman are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2016, but not for long. The Sedgwick Cardinals will square off against the Inman Inman Teutons on Tuesday. Sedgwick will be strutting in after a win while Inman will be coming in after a defeat.

Sedgwick is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Goessel: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Sedgwick blew Goessel out of the water with a 50-16 final score. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Cardinals had established a 33 point advantage.

Meanwhile, Inman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were beaten by Bennington 66-31. While losing is never fun, the Inman Teutons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 301st, while the Bulldogs are ranked 101st).

Inman's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Sedgwick, their victory ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-8.

Sedgwick skirted past Inman 30-27 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Will Sedgwick repeat their success, or does Inman have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
