Football Game Preview: Abingdon vs. Ridgeview

After two weeks on the road, Abingdon is heading back home. They hope to keep the momentum going despite having enjoyed some extra time before their next matchup against Ridgeview at 7:00 PM on Friday. The MaxPreps rankings say the odds are against Abingdon, but that can only make success all the sweeter.

Abingdon were able to grind out a solid win over Virginia two weeks ago, winning 14-6. The success made it back-to-back wins for Abingdon.

Meanwhile, Ridgeview might be getting used to good results now that the team has seven wins in a row. They captured a comfortable 24-7 victory over Battle. The score was all tied up at the break, but Ridgeview were the better team in the second half.

Their wins bumped Ridgeview to 7-0 and Abingdon to 5-2. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown.
