Basketball Game Preview: Cambridge Bluejays vs. River Valley Blackhawks

The Cambridge Bluejays will be home for the holidays to greet the River Valley Blackhawks at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Cambridge is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They put the hurt on Poynette with a sharp 104-78 victory on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Bluejays have posted since January 18th.

Meanwhile, River Valley waltzed into their contest on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Flying Arrows 67-64. While the Blackhawks didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Cambridge's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 86.7 points per game. As for River Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
