Baseball Recap: Incarnate Word Academy Takes a Loss

Incarnate Word Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the John Paul II Guardians. That's two games in a row now that the Angels have lost by just one run.

Incarnate Word Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for John Paul II, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-11.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Incarnate Word Academy is set to take on their familiar foe Holy Cross at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, John Paul II will face off against rival Geneva at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
