Volleyball Recap: Grace Christian Has No Trouble Against Appalachian Christian School

Grace Christian's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Appalachian Christian School Trailblazers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

One reason for the win was Grace Christian's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-14, 25-12.

Katherine Smith paced Grace Christian's offense, picking up five kills. Smith got some help from Jessie Greenmun and her five assists. Margaret Shomo and Ella Moffett kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with four aces apiece.

Grace Christian now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Appalachian Christian School, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

Looking ahead, Grace Christian will square off against Mt. Carmel Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Appalachian Christian School, they will face off against Virginia School for the Deaf & Blind at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
