On Friday Travis Gates tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. The effort also marked the fewest walks (one) Gates has had since back in April of 2024. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his fourth in a row with less than two hits. For the season, he has an ERA of 2.15 over 13 innings pitched.
