Baseball Recap: Bethel Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Bethel Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 12-6 to The Master's Academy Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-2 two weeks ago.

Bethel Christian Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caiden Burleson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4. Burleson has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Bethel Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for The Master's Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bethel Christian Academy will head out to face off against Mitchell at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Crusaders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mountaineers have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season. As for The Master's Academy, they are taking a road trip to square off against IC Imagine at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
