Baseball Recap: Tustin's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Tustin entered their tilt with Valencia on Wednesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 5-2. That's more bragging rights for the Tillers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Anthony Herrera tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February.

On the hitting side, Angel Rodriguez was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one run and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

Tustin's win bumped their record up to 7-13-1. As for Valencia, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Tustin wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 5-3 victory against Fullerton on the 18th. As for Valencia, they will take on Santa Ana at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
