The Hitchcock County Falcons will be staying on the road to face off against the Southern Valley Eagles on December 18th. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Hitchcock County scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They managed a 51-45 win over Rawlins County.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hitchcock County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Raegan Hagan, who scored 15 points along with five assists. The contest was Hagan's third in a row with at least ten points. Byanka Tyan was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with four steals.
Southern Valley has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 22 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Loomis 66-29 on the road. That looming 66-29 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Southern Valley yet this season.
Hitchcock County's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Southern Valley, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.
Hitchcock County was taken down by Southern Valley 67-28 in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Hitchcock County was down 35-10.
