Basketball Game Preview: Anna Coyotes vs. Sherman Bearcats

The Anna Coyotes are taking a road trip to take on the Sherman Bearcats at 2:45 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Anna's tournament run continued when they took on Horn on Friday. Anna was dealt an 81-48 defeat at the hands of Horn. While losing is never fun, the Coyotes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 522nd, while the Jaguars are ranked 160th).

Meanwhile, Sherman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 54-34 to Lake Travis.

Sherman's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Anna, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-13.

Anna came up short against Sherman in their previous meeting back in December of 2018, falling 55-44. Can Anna avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
