Basketball Recap: Pleasant Ridge Comes Up Short

Pleasant Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by the Royal Valley Panthers 83-49. The Rams were down 62-37 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Despite the loss, Pleasant Ridge still got an impressive performance from Canon Duncan, who went 7 for 11 to rack up 15 points and four steals. Duncan continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Hudson Hockett, who posted seven points.

Pleasant Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Royal Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 4-9-2.

Pleasant Ridge has already played their next game, a 69-32 defeat against Troy on the 11th. As for Royal Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 72-41 loss against Rossville on the 11th.
