Baseball Recap: Lakeview Centennial Patriots vs. Garland Owls
Lakeview Centennial let Garland stack eight runs on them in the fourth inning on Wednesday but luckily Lakeview Centennial prevailed anyway. The Patriots sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-8 victory over the Owls. This was payback for the Patriots, who suffered an 11-10 loss the last time these two teams met.

Coleman Hedgecock made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He is becoming a predictor of Lakeview Centennial's success: when he allows at most one hit the team is undefeated (and 4-12 when he doesn't). Hedgecock was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
