For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Atlantic and Somerset Academy - Canyons meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The Atlantic Eagles lost 17-1 to the Somerset Academy - Canyons Cougars. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Atlantic saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael Bird, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

Atlantic's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Somerset Academy - Canyons, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Atlantic will head out to face off against Lake Worth Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Somerset Academy - Canyons, they will take on Lake Worth at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Somerset Academy - Canyons' favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last six matches.
