Basketball Recap: Sarah Mansur Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Keytesville

Norborne won the last time they faced Keytesville and things went their way on Thursday too. The Norborne Pirates were the clear victor by a 57-31 margin over the Keytesville Tigers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pirates.

Norborne got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Sarah Mansur out in front who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 13 boards. Mansur is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Avi Leabo, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds.

Norborne smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Keytesville only three offensive boards.

Harlee Bruce and Kiera Shannon certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Bruce posted ten points, while Shannon put up eight points along with five assists and five steals. Those five steals gave Shannon a new career-high.

Norborne's win bumped their record up to 8-13. As for Keytesville, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-17.

Norborne does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Keytesville has already played their next contest (against Brashear), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
