Football Game Preview: Stockton Blackhawks vs. Heyworth Hornets

The Stockton Blackhawks will venture away from home to challenge the Heyworth Hornets at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Stockton is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Stockton is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 26-0 margin over Galena. The result was nothing new for the Blackhawks, who have now won eight contests by 24 points or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Heyworth's game on Saturday was all tied up 14-14 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against Princeville by a score of 21-14.

Stockton better keep an eye on Braydon Laesch. He was instrumental in Heyworth's win, rushing for 153 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 9.0 yards per carry. What's more, Laesch posted three receiving yards, the most he's had since back in October of 2024.

Stockton's victory bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Heyworth, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.

Everything came up roses for Stockton against Heyworth in their previous matchup back in September of 2023, as the team secured a 47-13 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blackhawks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
